"Rush hour 4" found a home in Paramount, which released the sequel under Warner Bros. name. The project, which had been dusted on the shelf for 18 years due to Brett Ratner's scandals, returns with an original duet. Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker become Inspector Lee and Detective Carter again.
Interestingly, everyone abandoned the project until Donald Trump intervened. According to Semafor, the president personally pressured Paramount CEO David Ellison to revive comedy action movies from the 80s and 90s.
Filming may begin next year, but the release date has not yet been determined. Recall that the original trilogy raised $850 million, and Jackie Chan is still ready to jump from the roof at the age of 71. Moreover, he doesn't want to give up dangerous tricks.
