Good news for "Formula 1" fans - the second part of the film is planned to be filmed. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer confirmed this in an interview with the BBC.
The producer has not yet wanted to provide details about the project's timeline or cast. It remains unclear whether Brad Pitt will participate in the new episode again. "We are working on a sequel to the film," Brookheimer said.
Rumors about the sequel to "Formula 1" have been circulating since the fall of 2025. Director Joseph Kosinski also expressed his desire to film a sequel to the drama. In November, he announced that the team was in the creative search phase.
As a reminder, the film was the highest-grossing project on the Apple TV platform. He surpassed Ridley Scott's Napoleon and Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon.
According to the plot, Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) is a former Formula 1 driver who retired from the sport after a serious accident. Years later, the young talent returned to the track to coach Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris).
