A real holiday is approaching for fans of the legendary Shelby family. The long-awaited project "Peaky Blinders" is returning to the screen not only as a full-length film, but also as a sequel to the series. Zamin.uz talks about the new unrest on the streets of Birmingham and the next trials of Thomas Shelby.
The new installment of the franchise, "Sharp Umbrellas: The Immortal Man," will be released in Russian cinemas on March 23rd. And that's not all: the creators have also started filming a direct continuation of the series. According to confirmed data, work has begun on two new seasons, each consisting of 6 episodes.
1940s: The Fire of War and Shelby's Return
The events of the new film take place at the height of the Second World War - in the 1940s. After many years of separation, Thomas Shelby, the leader of Birmingham's most dangerous group, returns to the ruined city.
- The main conflict: Tommy's son follows in his father's footsteps and becomes a participant in a dangerous secret conspiracy.
- Challenge: Now Shelby must not only save his own child's life, but also stop the political games that threaten the future of the entire country.
From Birmingham Streets to the Rise
Looking back at history, the Shelby dynasty was known as cold-blooded entrepreneurs who managed to turn the chaos and economic upheavals to their advantage on the poor and ruthless streets of Birmingham. The "Sharp Umbrellas" group, led by the brothers, used any danger as a ladder and conquered the heights of high power.
Interesting fact: In the part of the series dedicated to the new generation, the events move to 1953, that is, to the post-war rebirth of Birmingham. Here, Killian Murphy acts not only as the lead actor, but also as the executive producer.
