People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Muqaddas Kholiqova celebrated her 66th birthday. The actress was born on April 14, 1960, in the city of Tashkent. From 1977 to 1981, she studied at the Faculty of Theatre and Film Acting at the Tashkent Institute of Arts. Since 1981, she has been working at the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre.
Muqaddas Kholiqova is known not only for her success on stage, but also for her resilience in the face of life’s hardships. In one of her interviews, she recalled that she had faced death three times: “In 2010, when I lost my brother and my mother, I suffered a heart attack. Later, my husband suddenly lost his eyesight. From the stress, I had another heart attack. The third attack occurred when my children's father died," the actress recalls.
Today, Muqaddas Kholiqova continues her active creative work and shares her experience with the younger generation as a mentor. Her dedication to art and her stage mastery are recognized as an important part of Uzbek theatre and cinema.
