The National Statistical Committee published the indicators of potato production for January-September 2025. According to the data, the Samarkand region has become a clear leader in potato cultivation in the country.
During the reporting period, all categories of farms in the republic produced about 3.1 million tons of potatoes. This indicator was noted as one of the important results in the country's agriculture.
The regions with the largest potato production by region are as follows:
- Samarkand region - 631,922 tons;
- Tashkent region - 320 053 tons;
- Fergana region - 317,426 tons;
- Surkhandarya region - 316,052 tons;
- Andijan region - 306,060 tons;
Also, 298,992 tons of potatoes were grown in Namangan region, 278,682 tons in Bukhara region, 168,317 tons in Kashkadarya, 140,672 tons in Khorezm, and 83,552 tons in Navoi region.
The lowest indicator fell on the city of Tashkent - a total of 429 tons.
