According to the National Statistics Committee, as of November 1, 2025, 465.9 thousand enterprises and organizations operate in Uzbekistan. This indicator testifies to the active entrepreneurial activity in the country's economy.
According to statistics, the largest number of enterprises operate in the retail network. The share in this area is 32.5%, that is, one in three enterprises is engaged in trade.
The distribution for the remaining areas is as follows:
- Industry - 12.6%
- Agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 7.3%
- Accommodation and food services - 6.4%
- Construction - 6.4%
- Transportation and storage - 3.6%
- Information and communication - 2.5%
- Healthcare and social services - 2.8%
- Other industries - 25.9%
These figures demonstrate the significant role of the trade sector not only in providing services to the population but also in creating jobs. At the same time, industry and agriculture also occupy a significant share of the economy.
