Unexpected weapon against diabetes – mango
New research conducted in India has given unexpected conclusions about the effect of mango on diabetes. Previously, due to its sweetness, mango was not recommended for diabetic patients, but now scientific evidence shows a different result.

The study compared three popular mango varieties – Safeda, Dasheri, and Langra – with white bread. It turned out that eating mango does not raise blood sugar as quickly as bread, and in some cases even showed improvement.

In another study lasting eight weeks, diabetic patients ate mango instead of bread. As a result, their blood sugar levels, weight, and cholesterol improved. This shows that mango does not have to be completely forbidden.

Doctors recommend consuming mango in moderation. It is better to eat it not as a dessert, but separately or together with protein and fiber-rich foods. However, it is not recommended to consume it as juice or sweet cocktails.

In India, 77 million people live with diabetes. Experts emphasize that mango cannot replace healthy habits, but when consumed in moderation, it can be beneficial.
