The Earth is under the threat of a powerful magnetic storm caused by the active influence of a coronal hole on the Sun. According to the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the solar wind speed has sharply increased, reaching record levels.
“The explosive growth in solar wind speed shows that the Earth has directly encountered the coronal hole. Now let’s see how the magnetosphere will cope. So far, it remains stable — in the green zone,” the laboratory stated in its Telegram channel.
A magnetic storm is a sharp disturbance of the Earth’s magnetic field, during which its natural direction is disrupted. It can last from several hours to several days.
Such geomagnetic fluctuations may negatively affect the health of people sensitive to weather conditions. Experts advise individuals prone to cardiovascular diseases to carefully monitor their health during this period. If necessary, it is recommended to take medications that stabilize heart function, as well as B vitamins, magnesium, and potassium.
In addition, to reduce stress and anxiety, light sedatives may be used. Experts also recommend minimizing the use of gadgets that may increase tension.
