Kvikk Lunsj – not just chocolate, but Norway’s history
In Norway, the chocolate called Kvikk Lunsj has been produced since 1937. It is known as “the trip chocolate” and millions of bars are sold every year.

At first, the product was made with dark chocolate and was unsuccessful. Later it was changed to milk chocolate, which made it popular and a well-loved treat.

Kvikk Lunsj has sparked debates due to its similarity to the British KitKat chocolate. Today, the brand belongs to the American company Mondelēz.

Nevertheless, Kvikk Lunsj is regarded as a national symbol in Norway and remains the most popular chocolate among the people.
