The Legislative Chamber of the Supreme Majlis adopted the law "On the transition to a proactive pension allocation system" in the first reading at its meeting on February 13. This was reported by the press service of the lower house of parliament.
This draft law introduces amendments and additions to the law "On State Pension Provision of Citizens" to establish the procedure for proactively assigning age-related pensions to citizens who have reached retirement age (men 60 years old, women 55 years old) without requiring their separate application.
Currently, citizens must apply for a pension and submit documents confirming their rights to payments. Now this process will be automated within the framework of information exchange between relevant ministries and departments.
Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Gulnara Rakhimova announced that due to these changes, an average of 250 thousand citizens will not have to contact the Pension Fund and public service centers per year, which will save time and money.
“The adoption of the draft law will serve to further improve the quality of services provided by the state, actively implementing modern digital technologies in the pension allocation system for the population,” the report says.
It is worth recalling that, in accordance with the President’s resolution of October 31, 2023, it is planned to launch a proactive form of pension allocation from March 1, 2025. Also, by March 1, a procedure will be introduced for sending SMS messages to citizens’ mobile phones regarding the allocation of a pension or the submission of additional documents affecting the amount of the pension.
