On April 11 at 21:53, a Changan vehicle traveling from Tashkent toward the Fergana Valley caught fire on the Kamchik Pass, part of the A-373 highway.
Cause: short circuit in electric scooter charger
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire was caused by a short circuit in an electric scooter’s charger stored in the car’s trunk.
The incident was reported to the Kamchik special search and rescue and fire department.
Fire contained in 3 minutes
Two fire-rescue teams arrived at the scene by 22:09. The fire was contained by 22:11 and fully extinguished by 22:12.
The interior and trunk of the vehicle were damaged. However, quick action saved 9 of 18 bicycles and 1 of 4 electric scooters.
No injuries reported
There were no casualties or injuries. Authorities are investigating the incident.
