Man detained in Tashkent for selling drugs due to gambling debt

A young man in Tashkent was detained for drug trafficking due to a large gambling debt, Nova24.uz reported. The 25-year-old citizen lost between 100,000 and 150,000 dollars in gambling and had to sell drugs to cover his debt. He was detained by law enforcement officers during the "Safe and Healthy Country" raids. During a search, six packets of white powder wrapped in black electrical tape were found on him.

The young man explained that he had been unable to return home for six months and had earned only 95 dollars in two days of drug sales.
