
On April 28-29 of this year, a delegation of ministries and departments of our country, led by Deputy Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan Sh. Aminov, participated in the first meeting of the Uzbek-Russian interdepartmental working group on labor migration and protection of migrants' rights.
This event, organized in Moscow, was attended by representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office of the country, the Federal Security Service, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other responsible departments from the Russian side, led by Deputy Prosecutor General P. Gorodov.
At the meeting, representatives of both countries discussed the current situation in the field of migration, existing problems and specific measures to solve them. Also, taking into account the interests of the two countries, it was agreed to strengthen close cooperation in ensuring legality in the field of migration and to take practical steps in this regard.
In particular, the Prosecutor General's Offices of Uzbekistan and Russia undertook to monitor the non-violation of the rights of Uzbek citizens coming to Russia for work and Russian citizens visiting Uzbekistan, and to strengthen the protection of their interests.
At the end of the event, a protocol was signed reflecting the decisions taken at the first meeting of the bilateral working group on labor migration and protection of migrants' rights.
