A specialist who promised to “cancel” an entrepreneur’s 17 million soums debt for water supply was detained in the city of Gulistan. The case was revealed during an urgent action carried out as part of the protection of the rights of business entities.
It is reported that during an action held by employees of the Gulistan city department of the Department under the Prosecutor General’s Office, a department specialist of “S.I.T.” LLC E.V. promised to “cancel” the 17 million soums debt accumulated for water supply in the production workshop of individual entrepreneur A.R., and additionally install a new meter.
It is said that in exchange for this “resolving the issue,” he offered the LLC employee K.Zh. was detained with material evidence when he received 4.5 million soums through.
According to law enforcement agencies, a criminal case has been initiated on this case under Article 168 (fraud) and Articles 28 and 211 (norms related to bribery) of the Criminal Code. Currently, investigative actions are being conducted within the framework of the case.
Such cases are another warning for entrepreneurs: no matter how sweet the promises of "we will write off the debt" and "we will easily solve the calculation" may sound, going the wrong way may ultimately make the problem worse.
