In Fergana, a citizen who beat an inspector with a stick was brought under investigation

Reports have circulated about an attack on a water supply worker performing his duties in the Uzbekistan district of the Fergana region. It was reported that a criminal case has been initiated on this fact.
According to information, on March 9, the inspector of the Uzbekistan district branch of "Fergana Suv Ta'minoti" LLC, D.S., went to one of the apartments located on Sochtepa Street in the district for an inspection. During the inspection, it was discovered that this house had an unregistered water meter.
At the time when the relevant documents were being processed and the fine was announced, the owner of the apartment, Fazliddin Pardayev, resisted the inspector and started a fight. During the incident, he struck the inspector on the head with a piece of wood that was there and injured him.
In connection with this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of Article 219 of the Criminal Code - resistance to a representative of the authorities or a person performing a civic duty. The suspect, F. Pardayev, was detained in accordance with procedural order.
Currently, the prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation into this case.
