In Tashkent, a man who drove a car while intoxicated and punched a patrol officer was detained in procedural order.
This situation caused widespread discussion on social networks. A preventive measure in the form of "detention" was applied to B. P. (born in 1990), who was involved as an accused in the criminal case. This ruling was issued by the Yashnabad District Court and was reviewed in the appellate instance of the Tashkent City Court on 03.04.2026.
During the trial, the decision of the court of first instance was not changed, and the appeal filed by the defendant's lawyer was not satisfied.
Thus, in accordance with Article 497-34 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, this ruling of the appellate court is final.
