IV drip without medical supervision turns into tragedy: 39-year-old woman dies in Namangan

A tragic incident occurred in Namangan region, where a 39-year-old woman died after receiving an injection at a family medical center in the Yangikurgan district. The woman had previously been taking government-provided blood-boosting medications and had recently completed a course of the drug "Neofer." On March 28, she sought additional treatment for body pain and requested to use a medication she had at home, "Ferlek," despite being advised that it should only be administered under medical supervision. After the nurse complied with her request, the woman's condition worsened significantly, leading to her death, prompting concerns from her family about the medical facility's inadequate conditions and the absence of a doctor on the day of the incident. A criminal case has been initiated against the nurse, and investigations are ongoing under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
A tragic incident has occurred in the Namangan region, where the administration of an intravenous (IV) drip resulted in the death of a 39-year-old woman. The incident took place at a family medical center in the Yangikurgan district.
According to official reports, the deceased had previously been taking state-provided, free-of-charge blood-boosting medication. She had completed a course of the drug "Neofer" just days before the incident. However, on March 28, she returned to the medical facility, complaining of body pain and requesting the additional use of "Ferlek," a medication she had been keeping at home.
The nurse stated that she explained to the patient that the medication should only be administered under a doctor's supervision. However, citing financial difficulties, the woman insisted that the injection be performed on-site. Consequently, the nurse complied with her request and administered the medication.
Unfortunately, the patient's condition deteriorated rapidly following the procedure, and it was impossible to save her. Her relatives have expressed serious concern over the incident, emphasizing that the woman had arrived at the medical facility in good health.
It is also reported that conditions at the medical center do not meet required standards. According to witnesses, the facility lacked even basic medical equipment, and no doctor was present on the day of the incident.
A criminal case has been initiated against the nurse under the relevant article of the Criminal Code. Investigation activities are currently underway, and the case has been placed under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
