The procedure for placing outdoor advertising and signs is being revised in the interest of entrepreneurs. This was announced by the Committee for Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection.

It is noted that a draft regulation on the "Regulation of outdoor signs" has been developed, which aims to clarify existing misunderstandings and legal gaps.

According to the document, clear definitions for terms such as "outdoor information medium," "outdoor sign," and "signboard" will be provided. One of the most important innovations is that signboards may no longer be classified as advertising.

In other words, signs indicating the name and type of activity at trade, catering, or service facilities will not be considered advertising. Therefore, the requirement to obtain separate permits or make payments for them may be abolished.

At the same time, commercial advertising materials will continue to be regulated under a separate procedure. The Committee will continue to monitor the compliance of advertising content with legislation.

This project has been submitted for public discussion, and proposals will be accepted until May 10. Officials are calling on all entrepreneurs and citizens to actively participate in this process.
