A dangerous incident involving a zipline occurred in the Lashkarak mountainous area near Angren, Tashkent Region. A video circulating on social media shows two people colliding while using the zipline attraction. Fortunately, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, no injuries were reported.
The footage shows one person stopping on the zipline cable for unknown reasons, followed by a second person crashing into them. While it might look like a simple 'extreme' moment, such situations pose a serious threat to human life.
An investigation revealed that the zipline attraction had been operating without any permits from relevant authorities. It had not undergone official inspections, failed to meet safety requirements, and lacked a legal basis for operation.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the zipline located in the Lashkarak neighborhood of Angren was inspected on January 15, 2026. At that time, an official report was filed and the attraction was shut down. However, it was later discovered that operations had been resumed without authorization.
On May 14, representatives from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other responsible agencies arrived at the scene. Based on the working group's findings, the zipline was dismantled, and fines were imposed on the individuals who operated the attraction illegally.
Experts from the Ministry of Emergency Situations urged citizens not to use attractions that lack official permits, fail to meet safety standards, or operate illegally, as a moment of excitement in such places can lead to dire consequences.
'Dear citizens, do not forget that by using illegal attractions, you are putting your lives at risk,' the Ministry stated.
In short, the Lashkarak zipline incident serves as a serious warning to everyone. Extreme sports and adrenaline are fine, but fun without safety is not worth it. Taking risks where there is no official permission, technical oversight, or safety protocol is like gambling with your life.
