A grand congregational mosque built by Uzbekistan is nearing its opening in the city of Turkistan, Kazakhstan. During a working visit, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev familiarized themselves with the new complex.

This mosque is recognized not only as a religious structure but also as a vivid symbol of the historical friendship, spiritual closeness, and good-neighborly relations between the two brotherly nations.

The total area of the mosque complex exceeds 7 hectares. It has the capacity to accommodate over 5,000 worshippers at once, making it one of the largest and most beautiful religious and educational centers in Turkistan.

The magnificent ensemble includes four 70-meter minarets, a three-story main building, spacious prayer halls, and traditional verandas. The complex holds special significance both architecturally and spiritually.

The congregational mosque was built based on the best traditions of Islamic and Oriental architecture. Its exterior design harmonizes national patterns, oriental domes, tall minarets, and modern construction solutions, giving the complex both a historical spirit and modern elegance.

The interior of the mosque features unique examples of Islamic calligraphy and wood carving. These decorations add grandeur, tranquility, and spiritual atmosphere to the complex.

Extensive landscaping work is also underway on the 4.2-hectare area surrounding the mosque. Green spaces, walking paths, recreation areas, modern lighting systems, fountains, and ornamental structures are being established.

It is noted that this mosque was built by Uzbekistan as a gift to the brotherly people of Kazakhstan and the residents of Turkistan. This complex is a practical expression of the centuries-old friendship, cultural closeness, mutual respect, and alliance between the two states.

During the visit, verses from the Holy Quran were recited, and prayers were offered for the peace, prosperity, and brotherhood of the peoples of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

In short, this mosque standing in Turkistan is not just a building. It is a spiritual bridge built on brotherhood, faith, culture, and noble intentions. Such places bring nations closer, strengthen historical ties, and remind future generations of the true value of friendship.
