The nominees for this year's Ballon d'Or have been announced

Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah of Liverpool is the main contender for the 2025 Ballon d'Or, experts say.

The 32-year-old player has a 22.2 percent chance of winning the award. Real Madrid players Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe are in second and third place (16.7 percent each).

The following players are also among the contenders for this year's Ballon d'Or:
