The official AFC website published an article about Uzbekistan U-17 head coach Islombek Ismoilov.
Islombek Ismoilov is close to completing a perfect job with a team full of outstanding talent. Under his leadership, Uzbekistan's U-17 team aims to add the U-17 Asian Cup title, hosted by Saudi Arabia, to the 2012 U-16 Asian Championship trophy.
Uzbekistan has shown impressive form throughout the tournament, winning all five matches and scoring 15 goals. Head coach Islombek Ismoilov has given playing opportunities to each player.
At just 32, Islombek Ismoilov is the youngest coach at the tournament. His coaching journey began earlier; at age 27, he coached Turon in Uzbekistan's Super League during the 2020/2021 season, managing 22 matches.

His coaching ability was highly appreciated, leading to an invitation to coach the Uzbekistan U-14 national team, which he has headed for three years. Islombek Ismoilov has had ample time to build his team, and results are gradually showing.
Continuing Uzbekistan’s remarkable performance in youth competitions, Ismoilov’s team remains the only unbeaten side in the Asian Cup.
The team consistently dominates opponents, creates scoring opportunities, and demonstrates a hunger for goals—making Uzbekistan enjoyable to watch.
Apart from goalkeeper Bahodir Izboskanov, all 22 players have seen game time. Even top scorer Asilbek Aliev has started only twice, reflecting Ismoilov’s unique management approach, which boosts team spirit.

Team stability is impressive: 10 different players have contributed to the 15 goals scored.
If they maintain their current form, Uzbekistan under Islombek Ismoilov could become only the second team in history to win every match in this age category tournament. The first was Iran’s youth team in 2008.
