UFA looking for a big coach: Slaven Bilic’s candidacy and negotiations
The Uzbekistan Football Association continues to approach international-level specialists for the position of head coach of the national team. According to the latest news, the association has officially approached the experienced Croatian coach Slaven Bilic, who made a name for himself with his work in the English Premier League, reports championat.asia.

At present, negotiations between Slaven Bilic and UFA officials are taking place actively. According to the information, the 56-year-old Croatian specialist may be tasked with completely renewing the national team and achieving new results on the international stage. It is noteworthy that Bilic’s last place of work was the Saudi Arabian club "Al Fateh", from which he left in August 2024 and has not worked anywhere since.

During his coaching career, Slaven Bilic has managed reputable clubs in various countries. In particular, he gained experience at such teams as "Hajduk", "Lokomotiv" Moscow, "Besiktas", "West Ham", "Al Ittihad", "West Bromwich", "Beijing Guoan", "Watford" and others. Among his main achievements, one can mention reaching the quarterfinals of the European Championship with Croatia, twice winning bronze medals in Turkey, and becoming vice-champion in the national championship.

Let us remind you, earlier UFA had also approached another big name — the former coach of the German national team Joachim Löw. Not long after, Löw himself officially confirmed this offer.

UFA’s high ambitions and new strategy are expected to open a new page in national football. Moreover, fans and experts are also waiting for the outcome of the negotiations with great hope and interest. What changes will happen in the head coach position of the national team will become clear in the coming days.
