A major transfer update has been registered in European football – Turkey's leading club Fenerbahçe has decided to fully purchase Slovakia national team captain Milan Škriniar, who spent the latter half of the last season in the team on loan. This was reported by several Turkish outlets citing reliable sources.
According to information, after long negotiations between Fenerbahçe and France's famous club Paris Saint-Germain, a final agreement has been reached regarding the transfer of the 30-year-old central defender. Milan Škriniar will sign a four-year contract with his new club, valid until 2028. He will receive an annual salary of 7.5 million euros, making him one of the highest-paid defenders in the Turkish Super League.
Škriniar’s loan period at Fenerbahçe gave him the chance not only to adapt to a new environment but also to win over the fans. In the second half of the season, he appeared in 16 matches and, despite being a defender, scored 3 important goals. His precise movements, positional awareness, and leadership qualities earned him a place in the hearts of supporters.
For Škriniar, who couldn’t fully shine at PSG, this new chapter in Turkey is expected to be a crucial turning point in his career. His experience and consistency on the pitch are expected to play a vital role in strengthening Fenerbahçe’s defensive line.
Now, the head coach of the team will be able to rely on him throughout the entire season. The club’s management also aims to get even closer to success on the European stage through this transfer. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
