According to the official channel of the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA), for the first time in history, football specialists from Uzbekistan have been included in the composition of the FIFA committees.
In recent years, the UFA has been implementing a number of important projects in cooperation with FIFA. In 2024, the country hosted the Futsal World Cup for the first time, and in 2027, the youth world championship will also be held in Uzbekistan.
The FIFA Football Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Committee is engaged in improving football through modern technologies. It works on the development and implementation of innovative solutions such as VAR, goal-line technology, semi-automatic offside, digital monitoring, and artificial intelligence.
According to a decision of the FIFA Council, UFA First Vice President Ravshan Irmatov was appointed Deputy Chairman of this committee for 2025–2029. The committee is headed by FIFA Director of Football Technology Johannes Holzmueller.

UFA General Secretary Avaz Maksumov became a member of the Beach Soccer Committee.
UFA Head of Women's Football Development Yulia Panina was included in the Women's National Team Competitions Committee.
These appointments indicate the growing international prestige of Uzbekistan football.
