The 37-year-old Polish footballer now has seven goals in the current Spanish championship and shares second place with Atletico’s striker Julian Alvarez. Only Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe is ahead of them with 13 goals.
On Sunday, after scoring three goals, Lewandowski surpassed his Barcelona teammates Lamine Yamal (4) and Ferran Torres (5), as well as Real's Vinicius Junior (5), Levante's Etta Eyong, and Mallorca's forward Vedat Muriqi (both 6 goals).
