Liverpool aims to halt Konate transfer

According to reports, defender Ibrahima Konaté could join Real Madrid as a free agent next summer. It has been suggested that the French footballer has an agreement in place with the Madrid-based superclub.

However, Liverpool is hopeful to prevent this highly talked-about transfer. According to Transfer News Live, citing L’Equipe, the Merseyside club has made a third offer to extend Konaté's contract.

Liverpool's management remains optimistic about convincing the 26-year-old defender to sign a new deal. Ibrahima Konaté has so far played 148 matches for Liverpool, scoring 6 goals and providing 4 assists.
