Suyarov Muhammadzohid took 1st place in the blitz at the Ganja Open

The international tournament "Ganja Open-2025," held on November 10-17 in the Azerbaijani city of Ganja, gained attention as one of the competitions with the largest number of participants this year. More than 300 skilled chess players from 12 countries participated in the prestigious tournament. The prize fund was also set at 41,200 manat.

Two chess players represented Uzbekistan in this competition. Among them, the result of International Master of Sports Mukhammadzokhid Suyarov deserved special recognition. The young, but experienced chess player surpassed all his opponents in the blitz and reached the top spot.

According to official data published on the "Chess Results" platform, Suyarov scored 7.5 points in 9 rounds. This result placed him not only among the leaders, but also among the absolute winners. The games didn't slow down for a moment, and despite the fact that almost in every game there were experienced opponents with high ratings, he was able to strengthen his position with a stable and accurate game.

His victory was not accidental - even in additional indicators, Muhammadzohid surpassed all the participants. The countdown over the games, quick decisions, and perfect strategy showed that he kept the competition under control from start to finish.

This victory at the Ganja Open-2025 is an important achievement not only for chess enthusiasts but also for the Uzbek chess school. Suyarov's victory once again demonstrated that the talented youth of our country can compete worthily in the international arena.

At the end of the tournament, he was awarded the absolute champion in the blitz category and brilliantly inscribed his name on the Ganja chess stage.
