Former U.S. President Donald Trump will be awarded the FIFA Peace Award. The award will be presented during the draw ceremony for the final stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The ceremony will take place in Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States. Trump has received an invitation to the event and has promised to participate.
According to Politico, the event will begin with a performance by opera singer Andrea Bocelli, one of Trump’s favorite artists. Following this, FIFA President Gianni Infantino will introduce Trump and announce him as the recipient of the FIFA Peace Award.
Trump will take the stage to accept the award and deliver a speech. It should be noted that the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and the Russian national team will not be participating in the tournament.
