Uzbek Chess Players Achieve Success in Presidential Prize Tournament

Uzbek chess players succeed in tournament for the President's Cup

The IV International Chess Tournament for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan's Cup was held in Tashkent from December 3 to 12, 2025. The event brought together 354 chess players from 16 countries. The tournament's total prize fund amounted to 80,000 US dollars.

"Masters" Group

This group featured leading chess players from countries such as India, Armenia, Russia, and Germany. Representing Uzbekistan, Shamsiddin Vokhidov, Abdisalimov Abdimalik, and Madaminov Muhiddin showcased their skills.

Final Results:

  • 1st place — Nihal Sarin (India, 2701) — 7 points, 8,000 US dollars
  • 2nd place — Muhiddin Madaminov (Uzbekistan, 2552) — 5 points, 6,000 US dollars
  • 3rd place — Shamsiddin Vokhidov (Uzbekistan, 2641) — 5 points, 5,000 US dollars

"Open-A" Group

  • 1st place — Abdilkhair Abilmansur (Kazakhstan, 2378) — 7.5 points, 6,000 US dollars
  • 2nd place — Nguyen Quoc Huy (Vietnam, 2418) — 7 points, 4,000 US dollars
  • 3rd place — Mahdavi Reza (Iran, 1942) — 7 points, 3,000 US dollars

"Open-B" Group

  • 1st place — Sulton Pardayev (Uzbekistan, 1663) — 8 points, 3,000 US dollars
  • 2nd place — Shohjahon Mamatsaloyev (Uzbekistan, 1818) — 8 points, 2,000 US dollars
  • 3rd place — Andrey Belov (FIDE, 1821) — 7.5 points, 1,500 US dollars

Uzbek chess players achieved remarkable results in the competition, securing significant prizes and recognition. These outstanding achievements will further contribute to the development of chess in Uzbekistan.
