The International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) has released its latest ranking of the best coaches of the year. The list drew strong interest from the football community, as it assessed top specialists both at club level and in national teams.Among clubs, PSG head coach Luis Enrique was named Coach of the Year. The Spanish specialist collected 222 points, finishing well ahead of his rivals. The team’s consistent performances and results in major tournaments fully justified such a high score.
Second place went to Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca (60 points). Third was Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick with 57 points. The top five also included Bayern coach Vincent Kompany (42) and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta (24).
At national-team level, Spain coach Luis de la Fuente once again took the lead. For the second year in a row, he earned 136 points and was named National Team Coach of the Year.
He was followed by Portugal coach Roberto Martinez (83), Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni (59), Norway coach Ståle Solbakken (48), and England national team coach Thomas Tuchel (41).
In short, the IFFHS ranking clearly showed which coaches truly changed the game and delivered results throughout the year. In football, victory is no accident—it is the product of a coach’s ideas and a system. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
