Uzbekistan to host FIFA Series for the first time in March

As part of the FIFA Series international tournament held by FIFA once every two years, friendly matches are organized between national teams from different confederations. This project is not just regular “friendlies” — it follows a mini-tournament format: each group of four features 4 teams, and the matches are played in a centralized manner in one host country.
The most interesting part: at the initiative of the Uzbekistan Football Association, this tournament will be held in Uzbekistan for the first time in Central Asia, and the participants have been officially announced. Alongside Uzbekistan, the quartet will also feature the national teams of Gabon, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela.
The tournament regulations are also quite “fast and dramatic” for fans: semifinals are played, followed by a third-place match and the final. That means Fabio Cannavaro’s team will face at least two of these opponents — in other words, two serious international tests within one tournament.
All FIFA Series quartets for March are as follows:
Australia (host)
Cameroon
China
Curaçao
Azerbaijan (host)
Oman
Sierra Leone
Saint Lucia
Indonesia (host)
Bulgaria
Solomon Islands
Saint Kitts and Nevis
Kazakhstan (host)
Kuwait
Namibia
Comoros
New Zealand (host)
Chile
Finland
Cape Verde
Puerto Rico (host)
Guam
Samoa
Virgin Islands
Rwanda (host)
Kenya
Estonia
Grenada
Uzbekistan (host)

In short, the March FIFA Series is a major opportunity for Uzbekistan in terms of on-pitch results, international experience, and fan excitement. Now the key is to turn that opportunity into quality, spirit, and results.
