PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov remains under the club medical staff’s supervision after the Intercontinental Cup final. In the post-match penalty shootout he saved four shots, but suffered a hand injury. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
According to Sport24, the latest examinations of Safonov’s hand have shown positive results. The Russian keeper is expected to rejoin PSG’s full training group in the coming days.
As a reminder, on Tuesday PSG lost 1–2 to Sporting in the Champions League. After the match in France, criticism was directed at Paris’ first-choice goalkeeper Luca Chevalier.
PSG will play their next match away to Auxerre on Friday, 23 January.
