Another interesting rumor has surfaced around Turkish football: according to reports, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan played a key role in N'Golo Kantei's transfer to Istanbul's Fenerbahçe.
The Istanbul club's press service, quoting Fenerbahçe president Sadettin Saran as saying, expressed its gratitude to the head of state for supporting the transfer. Saran emphasized that this agreement could be beneficial not only for the club but for Turkish football as a whole.
As a reminder, the experienced French midfielder has played for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia for the past year or two. Before that, he played for Leicester and Chelsea in England, became a world champion, and won the title of two-time English champion. Kanté is currently 34 years old.
Fenerbahçe currently sits in second place in the Turkish championship with 46 points. Three points behind the leader "Galatasaray." Therefore, fans expect this transfer to intensify the championship race: when it comes to experience, character, and hard work, Kanté's name comes to mind first.
