Nuri Shaxin recalls the period of his dismissal from Borussia Dortmund, saying that although this event was difficult for him, it gave him a lot of experience and correct conclusions. He emphasized that there's a saying in the football world: to be a good coach, you first need to be fired once. Shahin did not hide the fact that he felt this phrase in his life.
- I was on vacation for the first time in 20 years. "Because I switched from the role of a footballer to the role of a coach very quickly," he says.
He says that it was this six-month break that allowed him to listen to himself, pause, and honestly answer the question: "What went wrong where?" During this period, he strongly criticized himself, trying to overcome emotions and look at the general picture from above.
"During this break, I managed to listen to myself, think about what went wrong, criticize myself, and see the overall picture," says Shakhin.
According to his words, during this time he compared himself to the working style of the world's strongest coaches. He clearly understood in which aspect he was lagging behind and in which direction he needed to grow. Shahin called this experiment a "great opportunity" - because there is no rush, no heavy pressure, only analysis and conclusions.
And one of the most impressive statements: on the very day he left "Dortmund," he felt that his next job would be more successful. That is, this departure was not the end, but reconstruction, preparation for a new stage.
In short, for Nuri Shaxin, getting fired from that job wasn't a defeat, it was a "reboot." And now, when he returned, he came not just with ambition, but with experience, conclusions, and quite strong internal preparation.
