Liverpool scraps ticket price plan following fan backlash

Following negotiations with the Supporters Board, Liverpool has abandoned its previously announced strategy to increase ticket prices over three years. The initial plan, unveiled in March, proposed gradual price hikes linked to inflation over three seasons, but faced sharp criticism from fan groups. This is reported by Goal.com .
Under the new agreement, ticket prices will rise by only three percent for the 2026-27 season, with prices frozen for the 2027-28 season. This decision was made to provide some relief to fans amid the rising cost of living.
The club also confirmed that ticket prices for youth and local fans will remain unchanged at £9. Plans are also in place to establish a dedicated youth section in the Anfield Road stand.
Club management and the Supporters Board have agreed to explore alternative ways to avoid ticket price hikes in future seasons. Both parties will continue to collaborate on ensuring stadium accessibility for future generations while maintaining financial stability.
