It has been officially announced that English women's football star Beth Mead will leave Arsenal during the summer transfer window. Mead has represented the London club since 2017, making 258 appearances and scoring 83 goals. She also holds the record for the most assists in Women's Super League (WSL) history. Although the club management attempted to extend her contract, the player decided to continue her career elsewhere.

Arsenal director Clare Wheatley stated that Mead's contribution to the club's history is unparalleled and wished her success in her future career. According to media reports, Manchester City is showing serious interest in the experienced forward.

Mead is not the only player leaving Arsenal at the end of the current season. The club also announced the departures of Laia Codina and Victoria Pelova. Although Pelova joined the team in 2023, she faced difficulties regaining her spot in the starting lineup due to a serious injury.
