Uzbek girls reach the final at the Asian Championship

The semi-final bouts of the Asian Junior Girls Boxing Championship took place today at the "Olympic City" in our capital. Representatives of the Uzbekistan national team stepped into the ring to secure spots in the final stage, delivering exciting, intense, and memorable performances for the fans.
In the day's first bout, our representative in the -46 kg weight class, Ruhshonabonu Ahadova, faced Milana Inshina from Kazakhstan. Ruhshonabonu took the initiative from the start and imposed her style on her opponent. She secured a victory by technical knockout in the 2nd round, advancing to the final.
In the -48 kg category, Farangiz Usvaliyeva tested her strength against Arisa Yoshinaga of Japan. The fight was very interesting and intense. Unfortunately, the judges awarded a 0:5 victory to the Japanese boxer. Farangiz finished the competition with a bronze medal.
In the -50 kg weight class, Parvina Shakarova faced Aminxair Zorigtsaixan from Mongolia. Our compatriot showed clear dominance throughout all 3 rounds, winning decisively 5:0 and securing a spot in the final.
In the -52 kg category, Marjona Xudoyberdiyeva competed against Thi Hong Diem of Vietnam. The opponent prevailed with a 4:0 score, and Marjona ended her campaign with a bronze medal.
In the -54 kg category, Qumriniso Muhammadova fought a very uncompromising battle against Lahmi Manjunat from India. Throughout the bout, our representative demonstrated strong character, patience, and determination in the ring. Qumriniso triumphed 4:1 and reached the final.
In the -60 kg category, Salomatxon Sardorova faced Xinyu Sui from China. This confrontation ended prematurely in the 3rd round. Unfortunately, Sardorova's journey ended in the semi-finals, and she finished the competition with a bronze medal.
In the -63 kg category, Mehrimax Qilicheva put on a great performance against Xinyuyelin Tian of China. Our compatriot moved confidently in the ring, won 5:0, and advanced to the final. Mehrimax gave her opponent almost no chance—it was a clean, confident victory that effectively "wrote her ticket to the final."
In the -66 kg category, Diyora Bo‘riboyeva competed against Di Qiao from China. The fight was very interesting and evenly matched. Although our representative performed well, the judges awarded the victory to the Chinese athlete with a score of 2:3. Diyora finished the competition with a bronze medal.
In the -70 kg category, Karina Ilmuratova stepped into the ring against Ailin Hojamberdiyeva from Kazakhstan. In an intense bout, Karina showed her preparation and willpower, winning 4:1. Thus, another one of our representatives secured a spot in the final.
In the -75 kg category, Lobar Shaymanova faced Diana Nadirbek of Kazakhstan. The Kazakh representative won with a score of 0:5. Lobar finished the Asian Championship with a bronze medal.
In the -80 kg category, Feruzabonu Kamolova faced Vanshika from India. At the end of the fight, the score was 1:4, and Kamolova also earned a bronze medal.
In the final bout of the day, our representative in the +80 kg category, Sohibaxon Xudoyberdiyeva, clashed with Xan Huyen Truong from Vietnam. Sohibaxon took the lead in the first round. In the second round, she left no chance for her opponent, winning by technical knockout and advancing to the final.
Thus, the Uzbekistan junior girls' national team had a brilliant performance in the semi-finals of the Asian Championship. While several of our representatives reached the final, a number of our boxers also secured bronze medals.
According to the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation, our representatives will fight for gold in the final bouts as well. Today's fights proved one more thing: Uzbek girls can demonstrate not only skill but also character, courage, and belief in victory in the ring. Now, only the final step remains—it is time to strike for gold.
