At the AFC U-17 Asian Cup currently taking place in Saudi Arabia, the Uzbekistan U17 national team has secured another crucial victory. In the 3rd round of Group D, our representatives faced Australia and claimed a convincing 2-0 win.
In the match, Sergey Chigodayev's charges displayed organized, confident, and purposeful football. From the start, our players pressured the opponent, controlled the ball, and sought to create sharp attacks. These efforts paid off in the first half.
In the 28th minute, Mirkomil Murodov opened the scoring, putting Uzbekistan ahead. This goal gave our team a major psychological advantage. Near the end of the first half, Ahror Ravshanbekov found the net to make it 2-0. This goal was a serious blow to Australia, while our team headed into the break with great confidence.
In the second half, the Uzbekistan U17 team tried to maintain their lead and control the result. Solid defensive work, discipline in midfield, and team play ultimately ensured the important victory.
Thus, the team led by Sergey Chigodayev collected 6 points and advanced to the next stage as winners of Group D. This result once again shows that the young generation of Uzbek football is taking bold steps toward big goals.
