The experienced shot-stopper evaluated his condition after every training session and match using a "traffic light" system. Neuer emphasized that this was not just a gut feeling, but the result of deep analysis. Although minor injuries occurred during the season, they did not significantly affect the goalkeeper's performance or his decision. As a result, the 40-year-old footballer decided to extend his contract with Bayern until the summer of 2027.
The goalkeeper said that the atmosphere within the team and the support of his teammates are of great importance to him. He also praised his collaboration with Sven Ulreich and Jonas Urbig, adding that they help each other grow and are preparing for the future together.
