Piers Morgan criticized for entering the pitch during Arsenal's title celebration

Renowned TV presenter Piers Morgan has responded humorously to criticism after entering the pitch following Arsenal's historic Premier League title win. The avid fan and his three sons appeared on the field during the trophy presentation after the match against Crystal Palace, sparking backlash from football fans. This was reported by Goal.com .
After Arsenal secured the title following a 22-year wait, Morgan and his sons were seen taking photos with Mikel Arteta and the first-team players at Selhurst Park. Social media users questioned how ordinary fans managed to bypass stadium protocols to access the exclusive pitch area. Many were particularly annoyed that Morgan, who had previously called for Mikel Arteta's sacking, was celebrating with the team.
Responding to the criticism, Morgan wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "Perhaps it's because I bought 4 tickets in early March, sensing this would be a big day for the club I've supported for 55 years. As for Arteta, he proved me and many others wrong, and I'm only happy about that."
Clarifying how he got onto the pitch, the presenter stated that he bought the tickets at full price (£750 each + VAT) and was in the Palace’s 2010 Club VIP box. According to him, they were invited to the directors' room after the match and given the opportunity to watch the trophy presentation from the pitch side.
Morgan also addressed the situation involving midfielder Declan Rice. Speaking about a photo showing the player placing his medal around the presenter's neck, Morgan added: "I didn't pay for Declan to run over and put his medal on me, but I'm very happy he did."
