Prices for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics cards are starting to drop in Europe, reported Pepelac News. According to data from the Geizhals price aggregator, some models are now being sold for €2,599 (around 240,000 rubles), which is still above the official MSRP but an improvement compared to earlier prices. One Reddit user reported that the card is available in Finland for €2,456, while its MSRP in that country is €2,339.
For comparison, in the official US MSI store, the RTX 5090 VENTUS 3X OC model costs $2,999 (approximately 242,000 rubles). When converted to euros and with VAT refund considered, its price drops to €2,235, making Europe currently one of the best regions for purchasing the RTX 5090.
One reason for better availability and falling prices is the halt of RTX 5090D sales in China, according to analysts. China was the largest market for GB202 GPUs, and now production is likely being redirected to global markets. This creates potential for higher supply in other regions where prices are already going down.
Additionally, early RTX 50xx series cards like the RTX 5070 have started appearing below MSRP, possibly indicating an oversupply or weaker demand than expected. Despite these changes, the RTX 5090 remains a niche product, valued by enthusiasts and AI researchers alike thanks to its 32 GB of video memory. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
