Meta acquires AI audio startup Waveforms

Meta has announced the acquisition of Waveforms, an AI-powered audio technology startup, TechCrunch.com reported.

According to the company, the deal will expand Meta’s capabilities in voice and speech processing and allow it to integrate advanced AI audio features into future products.

Waveforms is known for its speech synthesis, noise cancellation, and real-time audio analysis technologies.

Meta representatives said these innovations will enhance audio experiences across the metaverse, social networks, and messaging platforms.

The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Meta plans to integrate the Waveforms team into its AI research and development division in the coming months.
