A Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle successfully lifted off from Site 31 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The rocket carried the Progress MS-34 cargo spacecraft into space. Ixbt.com reports.

The flight was carried out in nominal mode.


According to the state corporation Roscosmos, the spacecraft's insertion into orbit, separation from the third stage, and deployment of the antennas and solar panels all went according to plan. This is mission 95 to supply the International Space Station.

According to calculations, the Progress spacecraft's trip to the ISS will take 49 hours and 39 minutes. After making 33 orbits around the Earth, it is expected to dock with the Zvezda module at 03:01 Moscow time on April 28.

The spacecraft is carrying a total of 2,518 kg of cargo to orbit. The payload includes 700 kg of fuel for refueling the station, 420 kg of drinking water and 50 kg of oxygen.

It will also deliver 1,348 kg of dry cargo for the crew, including a new Orlan-MKS No. 8 spacesuit.
