Amazon adds OpenAI models to AWS platform

Immediately after OpenAI agreed to terminate exclusive rights with its primary investor Microsoft, Amazon launched new capabilities. The Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform announced a series of offerings including OpenAI models and new agent services. Techcrunch.com reports on this.
Amazon CEO Andy Jassy called the agreement "very exciting news." This change has removed barriers for OpenAI to collaborate with AWS.

Earlier, a major contract worth up to $50 billion was signed between Amazon and OpenAI.
The Bedrock service within AWS will now offer OpenAI's latest models, the Codex code-writing service, and a new product for creating artificial intelligence agents. The new service, named Bedrock Managed Agents, is specifically designed to utilize OpenAI's reasoning models.
Amazon noted on its blog that this step marks the beginning of a deeper partnership between AWS and OpenAI. Recently, a cooling of relations between Microsoft and OpenAI has been observed.
OpenAI is now working with AWS and Oracle, while Microsoft is strengthening its partnership with Anthropic.
