The operator MegaFon has announced that internet traffic will not be consumed when transferring data from iCloud to the Oblako Mail platform. From May 13 to May 19, MegaFon and Yota subscribers can download their files from the foreign cloud storage without any restrictions. This was reported by Ixbt.com .
The "Auto-upload" feature in the Oblako Mail mobile app allows users to automatically transfer photos and videos from iCloud in the background. All uploaded data is saved to a pre-designated folder.
MegaFon representatives stated that this update allows users to organize their files and view them conveniently. The company aims to ensure data security for customers and facilitate the transition to local storage systems.
Mariya Faustova, Director of B2C Products at MegaFon, noted that many users have stored large volumes of documents and media files in foreign storage for years. For this reason, a grace period has been introduced so that subscribers' internet packages are not consumed during data migration.
