Mobile internet may be restricted in Moscow

The Russian telecommunications operator Rostelecom has warned its subscribers in Moscow about potential mobile internet speed restrictions in the coming days. According to the company, this situation may persist until May 9. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
The operator recommends that users utilize Wi-Fi networks for internet access during this period. The restrictions are reportedly linked to preparations for and the holding of holiday events.
Previously, operators MTS and Beeline issued similar statements. Specifically, MTS noted that the restrictions might apply not only to Moscow city but also to the Moscow region.
Experts note that the "whitelist" system of sites accessible in the event of a mobile internet shutdown is not yet fully operational in Moscow. Consequently, users may face difficulties connecting to the network.
