Most gamers are against artificial intelligence technologies in games

TechPowerUp conducted a large-scale survey among its readers regarding their attitude towards NVIDIA DLSS 5 technology. Nearly 20,000 users participated, and the results showed that gamers have a negative attitude towards the intervention of artificial intelligence in the gaming process. This was reported by Ixbt.com reports .

According to the survey results, 58% of respondents expressed opposition to such technologies. 28% of users believe it is necessary to wait for a real demonstration of the technology in games before making a final decision. Only 8% of participants prefer neural rendering over natural imaging, and 6% of gamers are ready to use DLSS 5 only if performance increases significantly.

Experts believe that a misunderstanding regarding the naming might have occurred here. Gamers usually perceive DLSS as an upscaler that improves image quality, but NVIDIA is focusing specifically on neural rendering in DLSS 5. This raises concerns that the technology itself might negatively impact performance.

NVIDIA promised to introduce this technology in the fall, but there are no specific details yet. Although the company emphasizes that traditional image enhancement functions will be preserved, much work remains to be done to gain user trust.
