Samsung Galaxy S27 flagships may be equipped with Chinese screens

Samsung is planning to partner with Chinese manufacturer BOE to supply screens for its base Galaxy S27 smartphones. According to ZDNet Korea and ITHome, the Korean tech giant is considering diversifying its supply chain to curb rising component costs. This is reported by Ixbt.com .
Rising costs for memory and storage components forced Samsung to increase prices for the Galaxy S26 series. Now, to make the base version of the Galaxy S27 more affordable, the company is considering using OLED panels from BOE in addition to Samsung Display.
Such a move could help reduce production costs, but there is a possibility that quality differences between panels from different suppliers might cause user complaints. BOE is already part of Apple's supply chain, though the company has faced some issues with quality consistency and volume in the past.
No final decision has been made yet. The partnership between Samsung and BOE has not been officially confirmed, and it is possible that the parties may not reach an agreement.
