Windows to introduce automatic faulty driver repair feature

Microsoft has announced a new feature called Cloud-Initiated Driver Recovery (CIDR) to resolve malfunctions in Windows. This mechanism allows problematic drivers to be automatically rolled back to a previous stable version without requiring user intervention. This was reported by Ixbt.com reports .
The new technology operates via the Windows Update infrastructure. If Microsoft or the manufacturer flags a driver as faulty, the system automatically replaces it with a verified, working version. No additional software installation is required for this process.
The CIDR platform is managed via the Hardware Dev Center. This allows Microsoft to respond quickly to widespread driver-related issues and fix errors remotely. The technology is particularly useful for large corporate networks.
CIDR is currently in the testing phase, with full support expected in September. For now, the feature only applies to drivers distributed through Windows Update.
